What's happened to the medical care system?

May 28, 2010 09:56

This morning I had an appointment with my doc to discuss sick leave, since I need something that shows why I've been able to achieve absolutely nothing over the past seven months (and for the immediate forseeable future). I cannot believe this is still going on for you. I'm so sorry. When I read your posts my head wants to explode for the lack of decent medical attention they are giving you.

Thanks for the sympathy. *hug*

I've really lost a whole lot of faith in the medical care system after all this. They suck.

Oh honey, I'm so sorry. So sorry that this is a thing, that it continues to be a thing, about today, and yesterday and tomorrow. It's just horrible, and I hate that it's happening to you ( ... )

I have been generally happy with this particular doctor, really, so I'm hoping that this was a one-off thing. Up until now he's been really nice and understanding.

If you do decide to continue (even if, just for now) with this doctor, write done, in a list or list with more detail, everything you want to cover with your doctor, and give it to them immediately on begining the consult.

Heh, I was actually typing up a list like this earlier today. I'm printing out two copies, one for me and one for him, with ticky boxes that I can cross off when we've covered each point. I'm going to tell him that these are the things we need to talk about, and that I'm not leaving until we have.

Thank you for the advice and sympathy, hon. It's much appreciated.
