Procrastination station. My creative writing story is due tomorrow and I'm still not done with it. BUT I'm seeing Silent Hill with Midge tomorrow and that excites me much. I can't wait to see it. If I didn't have class at 4 I'd totally do a double feature and sneak into American Dreamz ( Read more... )

So...story about ghosts, farms, hidden chambers of doom, and a one-armed killer anyone?

LOL, that almost sounds like SILENT HILL. We'll discuss that more thoroughly when you see the movie!!! HAVE FUN.

Silent Hill was so great. I'm going to buy the third game tonight. We need to discuss because there are some things I'm kinda confused about.

What the hell happened in the end? Could Alessa only exist in Hell? Is that why she merged with Sharon at the end, to exist in Purgatory? Because all the alternate versions of Silent Hill (I think at least) were representations of Heaven, Purgatory, and Hell. Heaven was where the detective and husband were, Purgatory was before the darkness, and Hell was the darkness. I'm a little confused.

AHHHHHHHH! That's what I've heard. My friend that bought it for me said he watched 20 minutes and almost died. I'm really excited to watch it. The trailers look absolutely insane. I need to go replay FFVII before I watch it.

Okay, two things.
1) Don't tell me you had Raymond Liddell for Lit Foundations, did you? That man is awful. And I ended up with a B, which is slightly fucked up in my opinion. I guess I really bombed the final or something.
2) Are you in Susan F's creative writing class? And if so, I may know the guy you're talking about. But maybe not. What is he like?

1) I did indeed have Raymond Liddell and I have never wanted to stab myself in the face with a blunt object more in my entire life. I'm hoping I end up with a C. It was such a terrible class that really could've been great. He's so intelligent and has had so many interesting life experiences, but he chooses to lecture for an hour and fifteen minutes, not even attempting to make it engaging. And we didn't even have a final other than a 10 page paper in which the topic was so vague I had no idea what to write about. And those thesises...I can't even describe how much I detested that class.
Dos) No, I had advanced fiction with Kim McClarin. But I think the guy might be gay because I just see things in him that I've seen in past relationships. Hopefully I'm going to a party with him and a few other people from the class soon, so only time and a little inebriation will tell. :-)

Whoa, whoa, whoa. You had a research paper?! So weird. I think we were supposed to have one, but we...never got to it. So really we just had our midterm, final (both in-class written essays) and then our theses to grade from. Doesn't that suck? I guess not as much as a ten page research paper though. I agree though, that Raymond is really interesting and intelligent. He's done so much, I wish he would've told us more about it.

Yeah, he was like "I'd rather you concentrate on your papers than have to worry about a final exam." That was pretty cool of him though. Plus 5. And the research paper wasn't that terrible because the topic was obnoxiously vague and you could pretty much write anything about Greek lit and American ideals and such today. Mine was pretty terrible, but as long as I get a C, I'll be happy. I'd much rather listen to him talk about his digs in Greece or his adventures in the South Pole or something.
