Writer's Block: Doctor Who?

If money were no object & I could get anyone, probably Chiwetel Ejiofor. As I've said in a comment in one of my friends' journals, his portrayal of the Operative in "Serenity" was pretty close to how I imagine the Doctor to be, though with less martial arts of course. I'd like to see Bill Bailey play the next (rather stoned) Doctor.:)

While I love Bill Bailey's acting & comedy, TBH comedy Doctors don't tend to do well (see Sylvester McCoy). If there's comedy in Doctor Who at all, it should be incidental. My favourite past Doctor was always Tom Baker, & he had some humour in his portrayal, but it was a matey sort of humour, not like "I'm trying to play this for laughs", more the humour of the trenches, a laugh in the face of death.

oh what an absolutely fantastic idea. He never even accured to me. I forget about him, probably because I cannot pronounce his name :P
