Got my New Balance trainers from JJB Sports. Let me tell you - I expected these to be more expensive. Nike, Adidas, Reebok et al claim that by having their shoes made overseas by Vietnamese, Philipino & Chinese people on starvation wages somehow helps them keep the price down. I rang DHL and made a complaint, telling them about how I'd had 3 parcels left outside, 1 in the bin, 1 in the rain when it's a cardboard container marked Amazon etc. JD Williams (Home Shopping Direct) rang me back & explained that when Amazon send via DHL, DHL sometimes subcontract to them, and they're allowed to "Safe Place" these parcels. Right, Susan's just found the book I ordered from Amazon. Parcelnet (presumably affiliated to DHL?) have delivered it into the bin outside. This is a bin which contains nothing but dirty nappies. No risk of parcels being left outside, eh ( Read more... )
