The Allard Pierson museum in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) is holding an exhibition of colour in art as used by the ancient Grecians and Etruscans. For this they used new techniques to discover the right pigment of paints that once covered the marble statues, and then painted copies which they placed right next to the original statues ( Read more... )
