However, I am one silly American who does understand your reference to "Gentlemen and Players." So Ms. Manoukian takes the original transcripts and makes them her own? How like a certain gentleman thief she is!

Indeed. You are one of the select few. Perhaps not all Americans are silly. :)

Ms Manoukian commissioned the Chopin album at the tender age of 18. She speaks of obtaining the original compositions and learning the piece from the original rather than listening to other interpretations. She brings a whole new fresh idea to the compositions, bringing them back to life again.

Oh please. "Rarely practices"? You're one to talk, Sherlock. When was the last time you practiced for real-- you know, the kind with scales, and not just stream-of-consciosness scraping? Or does your superhuman intellect excuse you from such earthly things as scales?
