Wow, the word 'studious' popped into m head when I saw this too. Though I strongly suspect that book is merely a school photographer's prop.

As to age, I can only guess - maybe 10? I'm no good at judging the age of children, even myself.

haha cute. man i remember a very similar set from my primary school photos, why do they do that? the photographer got all huffy because he had to move the book to the other side due to my left handedness.
