What a significant week this has been. I've made several breakthroughs in my new research and I think the time for my special project to come to fruition has lessened. My new lab assistant has been a great help in this. So obedient and unquestioning

...If no one else has already, I will claim Vincent's remains. I had no idea he had died. Whenever we can meet and make arrangements is fine, the sooner the better.

It is quite unfortunate the way Mr. Valentine passed on, but all things must expire at some point, I suppose.
