A little side note, my college computer class actually helped me with this! I finally know how to put in forumlas into a spreadsheet so it'll calculate every time I put a number in. Huzzah!! :D That'll save me some time! Here are the results for Challenge 1 (Beauty)!

Any comments for #10?

Fav:
10- I'm usually not a fan of centre crops, but this one works! It's cropped in such a way that your eyes keep being drawn back into the image. The colouring is also very soft and not overpowering.
10- The icon is clear without venturing into oversharpening, and the tilt of the image--whether the source photo shared the tilt or it's an addition of the icon-maker--draws the eye nicely into the center of the face.

Constructive criticism:
10- the coloring is nice and soft but takes away the attention from the beautiful subject by darkening her skin a bit too much

Additional Comments:
10- I'm digging the sepia-ish tone of this icon!

I have a question, though.

Depending on comments, my icon is: +2 - 1 = 1
Or if don't count negatives it should be +2.
Yet I have O points for this challenge.

And icon #5 has only 3 constructive critisms, but is tied as 3rd place with 3 points. How could it be if it has no fav-s?

Fav:02- I think the coloring here is stunning! I also love the somewhat soft focus to everything, it almost makes Inara look as if she is glowing. I do think the crop is a bit awkward though. I think if there had been just a bit more space above her eye shown, or just a bit less (maybe cropping out her eye entirely) this would have been a perfect crop

Constructive criticism:
5- i find it a little bit too dark. lovely background tho
5- I love the image choice and the crop, but the coloring feels a little flat. Adding a levels and/or brightness/contrast adjustment layer(s) might help. (On a different note, I'm really jealous of her hair!)
5 The crop is nice and the coloring is lovely but the icon is so dark that it's hard to see those pretty purple/pink colors underneath.

05 - There is nothing "offensive" about this icon, however the crop and colouring isn't terribly interesting. Perhaps a little bit of work with some soft light layers or some saturation would have really made this pop.

08- Great cropping, sharpening and colouring. Everything about this icon pops but not so much that it overpowers you.
08- The crop is awesome, the colorings are so bright and happy and the icon is just gorgeous!

8 Not only did you pick a guy, where most of us picked a woman but the cap with the crop just make me think "beautiful" :) *thud*

Additional Comments:
8- Love the soft coloring here. I also like that glowing action that's happening around his cheek--not sure if that's a texture or if it was part of the original image and you just helped emphasize it. Whatever it is, I like it.
