 What is a turbo rumble?

A turbo rumble is an icontest that includes takes all the good things about a Turbo LIMS and a rumble. A Turbo LIMS is where you are given a month to make 12 icons, and then each challenge voting lasts one day. A rumble is where you get points after every challenge and there are no eliminations.

A turbo rumble is where you have have a month to make 12 icons. You will be given 12 themes (6 will be technical and 6 will be interpretive) and you may use whatever Science Fiction or Fantasy show/movie/book/comics that you would like. After the month is done there will be voting every day for each theme. There are NO eliminations and you get points for placement and for voting. The person with the most points at the end of the round will be the first place winner, the person with the second most points will the be the second place winner and the person with the third most points will be the third place winner!

General Info:

- You must be a member and signed up to enter the challenge. 
- All icons must be fit LJ standards...100 by 100 and under 40k. 
- NO animation is allowed, but blending/textures/text is more than welcome!
- You will be given 12 themes (6 technical and 6 interpretive) and will have a full month to complete and submit your icons to the correct post. 
- Sign ups are open until the first voting starts.
- Please do not tell share your icons until all the voting is complete!

Voting:

- After the month is complete and the icons have been submitted, voting will start.
- Every day there will be voting for 12 days (give or take a day or two)
- For voting, you get ONE (1) point.
- If you don't vote three times in a row, you will get negative TWO (2) points. This is to make sure that we have enough people as possible voting!
- You do not have to be signed up to be able to vote!
- During voting, you will be voting for your top 3 favorite icons (technical reason required), 2 icons that you will give constructive criticism (technical reason required) for and 1 icon that will be best interpretation of theme (reason is optional).
- For the voting you MUST base your icons on the quality of the icons, not on any personal preferences.
*** There will be a special award for the Most Valuable player. This would be the person that gave the best constructive criticism/feedback throughout the round. It does NOT have to be someone who is signed up for the round, rather it could be a watcher/member of the community who votes consistently and gives good feedback. The winner of this will also be able to pick four themes (2 technical and 2 interpretive) for the next round!***

- The feedback will be given to you when the winners for each challenge are announced, either screened or unscreened, but you do not have to see the feedback if you don't wish to.

Points breakdown:

- ONE (1) point for signing up
- ONE (1) point for each pimp (MAX of 3 points)
- ONE (1) point for submitting your icons
- ONE (1) point for voting (If you vote in all 12 challenges, you would get a total of 12 points)
- Negative TWO (2) points for not voting three times in a row. 
- Winning points break down:

First place: FIVE (5) points
Second place: FOUR (4) points
Third place: THREE (3) points
Most creative use of a theme: TWO (2) points
Mod's choice: ONE (1) point

Other:
- Cheating- Cheating will NOT be tolerated. Your first violation will have disqualify you from the round, a second violation will have you banned from the comm.
- Ties- Two or three way ties will remain unbroken (meaning if there was a 3 way tie for second place, those three participants would each receive 4 points each) a four+ way tie there will be a short period with a tie breaker.
