I'm finally caught up here at work. Now I can actually do what I come here to do, play on LJ.
Big hugs to
mississippicub I am really sorry for your loss.
It was an uneventful weekend. A couple of years ago, I inherited my great grandmother's kitchen table. I decided to start working on it this past weekend. I drug the table outside, turned on the Clapton and started to strip.........If you guys are through imagining me on my table outside stripping to Clapton, I'll get on with the story. Pervs. After about three coats of stripper, I could barely see the wood. It must have 30 coats of varnish on it. So after a few hours of stripping and sanding I decided to call it a day. I cleaned the table off and took it back inside. If the rain let ups, I am going to try and work on it again this weekend. I took before pictures of it, and will take pictures when I am done. Sorry, no pictures of me outside shirtless and sweaty covered in wood dust...Get your minds out of the gutter. Geez.
I started reading a new book, not sure why, I am already trying to read seven as it is. I have decided to drop down to two books so that I can get them finished. The book is Dorothy Parker: in her own words. Very interesting book. I really need to finish the Da Vinci Code so that I can return it to
neenie13. I also read a few stories written by a friend of mine. I am hoping that he will send me a few more of his stories..hint hint. I also did something for the first time in four years. I got out the drawing pencils and sketch book and started to draw again. After four years, I was a little rusty, so most of them ended up in the trash.
Gregg and his hubby Jim are finally home and I was able to chat with him last night. Loved the pictures. Tell Jim to finish the rest and send them to me. Good luck today.
Ok, I better not push my luck. I need to get back to work. Hope everyone has a good day.
