Well, I was thinking that this year would mean skipping my birthday. That was such a smarter choice. You see there was supposed to be nothing happening this weekend and I was all excited when I realized that so I started to plan a party. I had it all planned. Then I got a call from work. First job in months and it's my birthday weekend. And I need

I had a similar experience whilst in London. I thought that I'd have no birthday party because I was abroad, and everyone who'd actually celebrate with me was at home. Well, everyone from LMU on my floor actually did get together and celebrate with me. It was a wonderful surprise. Jared also canceled his con appearance on my birthday so... needless to say, I got very, very inebriated.

There's no right or wrong on your birthday. You don't have to do anything except what you want to do. If doing nothing makes you happy, then do it! But I urge you to make it a treat for yourself. Go to work, but come back, watch your favourite TW episodes and order your favourite food. It doesn't have to be elaborate, but of course, above all, spend it with friends since I know they mean everything to you.

I am really sorry that I can't come down, but my most recent entry will attest to the extreme level of stress and sanity (since I'm already insane) that I am currently suffering through. I wish you many happy internets and b-days, and will make it up to you somehow in December. In the meantime, you'll get a picture of my Halloween/Birthday costume later.

Sounds something like my parents would do. The first time I actually had an idea for my birthday after they always ask me what I want to do was to make a huge ass pink cookie, since it was during the Matrix era, instead of a cake. I got to make the cookie but they bought a birthday cake for themselves cuz they didn't want to eat a cookie. Whatever.
