Kakeru hovered outside Yellow's room, wondering if he should go in. It had been a bad day anyway, but the way it had ended... that was the worst. To see Yellow, of all of them, so broken made his heart ache. It had been bad enough seeing the loss in White and Blue when Loki had stolen their Gao Jewels but it was somehow worse to see it in Yellow, Yellow who always seemed so strong and perpetually confident.
He wondered if he should let Yellow know he was there, try to find something to say that wouldn't just be hollow words without meaning. It was all very well to say they'd get Gao Bear and Gao Polar back in the next battle, but they hadn't managed to retrieve either Gao Elephant or Gao Giraffe yet: Loki was just too strong and every time they seemed on the verge of defeating him he came back stronger than ever. He could still tell Yellow that, but he knew that Yellow would see right through him; he didn't have the same innocence that allowed White and Blue to hold on to their hope of winning their Power Animals back.
In the end he turned away from the room, slumping against the wall, tilting his head back against the rock. If Loki continued to take their Gao Jewels from them, he might very well be the end of the Gaorangers and they couldn't let that happen. Unfortunately, he had no idea to prevent it from happening.
