I have to get used to the new lay out, there is a lot going on. I did not see a pairing option on the frontpage? I just clicked on a few links hree and there and I can read everything but there are code errors on almost every page for me.

I like the colour scheme en the site feel a lot more responisve <3

Hey. The obligatory devmonkey here.

The character tags are currently down in the footer, because I've been coding them for presentation (and previously they were just ONE BIG CLUMP), so I put them down there rather than make the top half of the front page really loaded up.

As for errors... my apologies. Ehhheheh, I'm still setting up some of the wackier stuff that's tailored specifically to the archives' needs -- there's a lot we're asking WP to do that technically it's not really all that crazed about doing. If you see an error that's still there the next time you check, though, please let me know (here, or comment on one of the site-dev posts) because it may have gotten past me. Thanks!

Marking each story's character and genre categories would probably go a lot faster if I didn't stop to read every story. *cough* I'm glad you like. I've been putting in a new poll roughly every other day or so, just getting quick feedback. Feel free to swing by and take a look, pick the answers that apply -- it's nothing really precise, just helping me get better idea of what does or doesn't work, in general, for readers.

Thanks again for looking, and glad you like!

Don't have time to explore fully, but I thought I'd let you know that the text on the front page is absurdly small in IE6.

It's fine in FireFox, though. I only knew about the IE6 thing because I use it to check my e-mail, and I got an alert that you'd updated, and followed the the links.

Probably works fine on newer versions of IE, but seeing as how I have no desire to upgrade a browser that I use for one purpose, I can't tell you for sure.

AAAUUGH. I had a feeling that would happen! It's also absurdly small in Safari, too. I need to do more testing for cross-browsers (that's actually planned for this weekend, once I'd gotten the multi-chapter navigation done and error-free).

I use IE7, though (work, or else I'd not have upgraded either, to be honest) so I can't cross-test on IE6. When I've gotten as far as I can, I'll let you know, and if you wouldn't mind telling me whether it's whacked on IE6, still, and where, I would be greatly appreciative. Really tiny font drives me crazy, nearly as much as the mysterious "firefox must show it big and everyone else needs a freaking microscope" syndrome. Sigh.

I thought I'd ditto the absurdly small. It's absolutely, completely unreadably small.

Also, the text for the header is truncated on the left for me (it reads 'imitarsmile'). And the pairing options are all completely on top of each other (like there are no line breaks), all just on one line (ED_ENVY_GREEDED_HAVOC_ROY) and then it looks like there's a line for AL ALFONS ED ROY that is truncated at the bottom.

I'm using IE6, with my screen set at 1280x1024

I'm at work, so I don't have Firefox here. I'll give it a look-see again when I get home.

But your site does rock!

Sorry, that was supposed to be

EXCEPT FOR (ED_ENVY_GREEDED_HAVOC_ROY) and then it looks like there's a line for AL ALFONS ED ROY that is truncated at the bottom.

I think it's because I'm missing an IE hack for when the font size is set to em, instead of px -- I'm planning on putting in a script at the top to allow folks to up/down the font to fit them, and that means making sure the entire site is relative sizes instead of definite sizes... and MAN does IE (and Safari, too) really hate that. I mean really really hate that.

I haven't been going back and forth on checking IE quite yet, because Ffx is a bit more loose on those things, so it'll forgive me while I'm focused on the backend of things -- and then I take a break and check IE, cry, and see what hacks I can do... and then it all breaks again as soon as I do the next thing. Bleah. But I will conquer! Eventually.

I wonder if I should go ahead & add that font-sizer now, just to get around this font-size madness, at least temporarily. Hrm. Great, more scripts...

heh. thanks for the feedback! it's madness around here right now.

Okay, I think I fixed the font issue. (No idea really but going on what I know will have an effect, at least.) I put it on the list & will take a look at the UIs this evening. Thanks again, it's much appreciated.

Yeah, it's crazy-crazy when I realize just how MUCH is on the site. I'm working on a script that will hide it all unless someone specifically wants to see one of the areas to choose (authors, categories, tags). Slowly making progress... and only something like 1750 more stories to convert... *dies*
