Intriguing set of questions--unfortunately, I'm using Internet Explorer 7, and the poll page throws up several errors, and I cannot actually vote. The page displays a "Loading" symbol after the Vote button is clicked, and then it continues to load...and load...load...
The error message is something unhelpful about a missing object on line 632...
I really really hate this plugin but I can't be arsed to write my own right now -- I just went and checked and it does the same 'loading' on Firefox, too. Grrrrrrrrr.
Well, then, guess I'm writing a plugin from scratch after all. *kicks app*
...sigh...gotta love the non-standard implementation of code across various browser platforms! It's bad enough just trying to develop a cascading stylesheet that will look okay on all browsers.
I can't tell if my votes worked or not. It's pretty much just sitting there when I clicked "Vote". I got one message saying to be patient, it was doing *something* but I can't really tell what.
It did the same to me -- you have to hit refresh, now, for it to show you the votes total. I think it's because I turned off something in the plugin that was causing conflicts in the backend, and this is the result. Sigh. But at least (somewhat) easily fixable.
