I just finished reading The Return of the King (finally; I started reading the Lord of the Rings in August).  Currently, I'm reading:

1.  The Dead Sea Scrolls: A New Translation, by Michael Wise, Martin Abegg, Jr., and Edward Cook
2.  Stalingrad: The Fateful Siege: 1942-1943, by Antony Beevor
3.  Critical Mission: Essays on Democracy Promotion, by

Wait, you're in Miami during Valentine's Day? Is Chris coming too, or is this what they mean about the romance dying after marriage?

Chris will, in fact, be in Pittsburgh while I am in Miami. Fortunately, we're not a romantic couple (after all, I married him for the health insurance), so it won't cramp our style too much. :) Plus, he abandoned me to go to Miami over Thanksgiving, so he's got it coming.

I totally get it, Vanessa and I are the same way. Whenever I do anything slightly romantic I make sure to beat her a bit to even things out. Can't let her go soft on me, you know? And with Valentine's Day around the corner, I know she's getting ready for both an awesome evening and a punch in the face. It's how we roll.

We should totally do something while you're down here!
