omg i just got home from that... i went there to see what it was like for the first time. i actually went to the mission cultural center which was actually good i thought. the art pieces and altars were so beautiful!!!! it made me think about how one day our community could have a large kultural center so big and filled with us celebrating our people's art and community...but i agree... yes HELLLA PUTIS! omg i was like wth... i was talking to my friend about how we'd rather go to mexico to celebrate how it is really done (which we really were thinking about going next year.. omg dia de los muertos in Mexico!!!) than with putis celebrating like it is the castro all over again... if i did see any latinos they were watching with their families (not dressed in skull costumes) or from their windows.. sigh! wish i saw you so we could share our sentiments... =)

besides that the pupusas i had were awesome... yum!!! =P
