Definitely nap when he naps! Otherwise you don't nap:)
We held ours a lot when they napped as well. I remember watching the mlb playoffs in '04 with Dan in my arms (the first time I'd ever watched them in my life - we had over the air tv and baseball is soothing compared to other stuff). And with Sarah I walked a loop around the house for hours on end with her, I guess she liked the movement.
But holding them is better. Nothing like a sleeping baby in your arms. I'm sure you hear this a lot, but try to 'be present' as much as possible and enjoy these baby days - they grow up so quick!
