Smith jmsmith@flintjournal.com • 810.766.6365 A 19-year-old township woman was killed and a Lansing man, 55, was injured in a head-on crash on Dixie Highway on Monday, state police said. Amanda Turner died at an area hospital early today, Trooper Stephen Anderson of the Groveland Township post said. The Lansing man was treated and released. Turner was southbound in the left lane of the highway near Lahring Road, Anderson said. The Lansing man was in the left lane on the northbound side. It had not been determined early today which vehicle crossed the center line. An autopsy is scheduled today. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Groveland Township firefighters had to extricate both victims from their vehicles, Anderson said. - James L. Smith
