this is so true.
when people pretend to be something they're not just to impress others..
or make others happy; pretending everything's fine when they're not.
they act like they're doing okay, but underneath those smiles are tears.
at the end of the day, (some) people like that will always be hurting because they've really no one to talk to about their real feelings.
i'm sure it's a very uneasy feeling to carry such a heavy burden
smiling on the outside but screaming for help on the inside. :/

Man, why do I feel that what you just wrote needs to be converted into a song?! I am particularly liking the last line.

I was just talking to someone about this last night, actually. I think it's difficult, but important, to form a delicate balance between worrying about yourself and others. Obviously, we can't be "me me me" throughout our entire lives, but it is also so important to just place ourselves before others* sometimes. Once we're content with ourselves, everything around us will fall properly into place.

Hah, Sundays are so gloomy that I can barely think properly.

Haha. Really? How coincidental. Balance is so easy to set as a goal but hard to achieve. But when a person does, it's all worth it.

Haha. All the songs are sappy as well.

I swear it's like we're on the same thought pattern today or something lol. This entry speaks volumes to me and I love the poem. I will probably forever continue to put others before myself, even if it's at my own expense. I think a lot of people are just wired that way. We are willing to go to the ends of the earth for the special people in our lives.

Haha. We're just good like that? No. I think it's all these late night talks that we've had. I'm glad you liked the poem. I've been looking for it for awhile and I stumbled on it today so I had to make a post about it. You just have a big heart like that for you to be able to put others before yourself and how truly lucky those people are. Sad thing is, I don't think all of them know it.

for me though sometimes it's hard to talk to people when i know they've heard it dozens of times and don't want to hear about it again. :\ i loved that poem by the way. :)

I loved this poem, thank you for sharing it. And what you said couldn't be said much better I don't think. In some respects, I think it applies to some areas of my life as well...actually maybe quite a few people's too.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's quite ironic how one thought can somehow apply to multiple people, yeah?
