so, starving for something new, I decided to order a pizza tonight. No problem right? So I thought. Since Pizza Hut has always been my pizza of choice, I decided to make that my first call. Bullshit.. The $1 delivery charge goes straight to Domino's .. The reason they did that as opposed to raising pizza prices is because 1) it was easier to sneak in, and 2) by adding a fee, they catch people using coupons also. Your mileage was the exact same it was before they charged the dollar. Same goes for Papa John's..

Jason, you should order from Papa John's ... At the stores I've worked for (Lee Drive, Perkins/Siegen, a few here in Metairie/Jefferson) hotel desk staff get 1/2 off in exchange for letting us put menus/coupons on the front desk. We'd also be willing to take a credit card or check.. Pizza Hut is retarded. Especially if they refused to take a check even after you said you WORKED there and were a local.

Oh, and drivers not getting tipped had NOTHING to do with DP/PJ's instituting a delivery charge.. In fact, most of the drivers I know HATE the delivery charge because it serious HURT their tips because people ASSUMED it went DIRECTLY to them when they got NO increase in mileage or pay.

yeah, i knew the dollar didn't go to the driver, because domino's is a corporation, and wherever they can fuck the employee and the customer at the same time, they jump for that shit. I'm not sure if the PJ's here does that, but I'll have to call and ask.

The reason I usually order from Pizza Hut is because in all honesty i like their pizza the best, plus they pay for all of our keys and shit for the hotel. Plus like I said, the district inspectors stay at the hotel.

If you knew it didn't go to the driver, then why write:

I know some people don't tip well, but that's part of the process. Instituting a delivery charge for everyone isn't the solution.

... anyways, the only thing I ever order from Pizza Hut is their Stuffed Crust. All of their crusts come to the store frozen.. Yuck.

The reason the deep dish at Domino's is $1 extra is because it's significantly more expensive than the original and thin crusts.
