We started gathering weapons and I noticed the.. well, lack of weapons. I guess that after the battle with The First that they didn't really bother going back to neatly put their weapons away. Watching as she packed up a few stakes and a sword, I smiled back at her.
"Who needs weapons anyway."
"Yeah, we're superheros. We have strength for that."
We walked down the dark streets of Sunnydale.. again. But this time it was a little more awkward. Not awkward in the fact that I was just with her, but I knew what Connor had said to her. She probably had tons of questions, and I wanted to answer them. The only thing was, that I wasn't sure if she really wanted them answered. If she found out all about what happened, she might not exactly like the answers.
Finally, we arrived at the demon bar and we slowly walked inside. She was infront of me as we walked in. Looking around, it looked just as it did the last time I was in one of these bars. I leaned forward and whispered a little.
I smiled at Angel's comment. There were loads of demons in the bar, and it was like a little playground for champions and slayers. I looked up at him.
"Well, I guess it's pick and choose whoever looks like they might have some answers. Free game I like to call it."
We didn't fit in here, and the crowd was less than pleasing because these were different demons than when I went in with Spike. Different demons to the fact that they weren't afraid of the slayer...or maybe they just didn't know about it me being the slayer.
I stood up, and looked at them all, feeling the demon eyes on us.
"Well, I guess it's pick and choose whoever looks like they might have some answers. Free game I like to call it."
I smiled back at her then looked around the place. We started to receive looks that weren't exactly welcoming. I wasn't sure if any of them recognized us or not, but it seemed that just the fact we were here was a good enough reason for them to not like us.
"I'm sure someone in here had answers."
Nodding, I scanned the crowd looking for any of the demons that I might remember from when I was here before, but I didn't. I haven't been here in a while, sure, but with all that had happened, I thought I might know some of them.
"So, you have any idea who might have the answers? I can hold them while you punch."
"Well, I was going more for everyone in the bar. I say we have a party, Angel. We can do it, right? Besides..I have way too much tension in me. I think this might just do the trick."
I smiled at him, as our first Demon came close. Hell, even if we didn't get answers, it had been a really long time since I killed myself a good demon.
--Wow, did I just think that? Because maybe if I did, and I liked the sound of it, I should lay down somewhere under a rock.--
I walked toward the foul smelling slime infested thing and thought that maybe we should leave that one for last. I really liked my clothes. And then of course, the fact that we might deter the demons from us, and we'd have a chasing game rather than a fighting game.
But really, it was up to the demon.
I stared at them all, and stepped up. I guess there's no other way then to be blunt, yes?
"So what do you know about this reappearance? The answers will get you a free drink, and maybe a longer life than the rest of you."
Angel was so lucky that I was a nice person. I should have just rubbed up against him and gotten him all slime. I really should have, but there wasn't really room in this town for fun and games.
I tried to wipe myself off, but it wasn't dust I was dealing with. This was slime, the stuff that smudges. Great move, Buffster.
"There's still one more place I want to check out, that being the graveyard. The vampires that we encountered there seemed to know a thing or two about the hellmouth and it being badder and what not. Maybe we can find out more information there. Maybe they'll be less in the mood to fight, though I doubt it."
Being as this is a hellmouth that was probably created with some sort of power. Why do things have to be so complicated.
"I don't think my smell is going to make them angry..maybe it'll scare them. Could be used as a vile weapon."

I watched as she tried to clean herself off, but was only making it worse. That didn't exactly look like it was working.
"Uh.. Buffy? Maybe you shouldn't keep doing that..?" She gave me a look, and I then decided to keep my mouth shut about the slime for the rest of the night. "Oh.. well, nevermind."
We started out of the bar, stepping over dead demons as we went. Going to the graveyard was alright with me. I'd take vampires over other demons any day. Vampires at least are easy with the cleanup. Dust and that's it. No dead bodies, no.. slime.
"I don't think my smell is going to make them angry..maybe it'll scare them. Could be used as a vile weapon."I grinned back over at her. Vile weapon? That's a good way of

The silence that was between us just kept getting more and more awkward and..more silent. At this rate, we'd never get anything said. Maybe if we got some vampires to punch that would take the silence away.
"So, a father. What's that like?"Well.. so would that. I guess that it had been on her mind about as much as it had been on mine. I paused in my steps for a second but then kept on
( ... )
"So you can't smell any extra undead around here? Like can you block out the dead, and decipher the...not-so-dead dead?"
I shrugged and looked around the graveyard again. There was something here, but it was still hard to tell exactly what. Death was everywhere in the town, not just like normal in the graveyards. Maybe it had something to do with that this town wasn't technically supposed to be standing right now. Yeah, I'd say that had something to do with it.
"It's strange. There's death here.. not vampire or even human necessarily. Just death." Saying it outloud didn't sound any better than it had in my head.
"I guess that's not exactly what you were looking for, huh?"
"Okay, a town doesn't pop up and all of a sudden have a clean cut graveyard. There's gotta be something here. Anything evil, because the world doesn't work this way. Graveyards are the place where vampires lurk, and are...born for that matter, so there's gotta be something here because I don't think I can take another dead end tonight."I felt my hand

I looked at him with a cocked eyebrow, then I mocked, because we were on joking terms...right?
"Death, huh? Because this being a cemetary and all, it wouldn't be obvious or anything."
I smiled at him when he gave me that look. I totally missed that look. He stopped at some monument type thing, that in all my years of Sunnydale graveyard slaying, I hadn't really paid attention to it...or was it even there? Little things like that always just...escape my visual memory. the thing was, well-- it wasn't little at all.
"What is it?" Something was up, because that look that Angel gave was means for me to panic. Something was up, and now, since Angel had just showcased that look that always used to make me uncomfortable, I was feeling that something was up. That was a good thing and a bad thing. Good thing was that--well, we had a good chance of getting answers. bad thing had to do with the life factor...but that was normal. This was not

I just looked at her but received a smile in return. A small smile formed on my face and I looked away from her.
"Right, cemetary." I looked again at her. "It's just something else. Now that I think about it,.. it's not just the cemetary. It's the town. I guess it's got a right to have that 'death' feel since it's not actually suppoped to be 'alive'." Shrugging, I sighed and looked around again, my attention still focused again on the monument, tomb, or whatever it was exactly.
"What is it?"
"It's.." Blinking, I shook my head. I had a sense of familiarity come over me. It was almost as if.. no, it wasn't possible. Faith had mentioned that she ran into Dru, but.. no. She was dead. Her hand went to dust in mine. No, it wasn't possible. It's just this town. Shaking my head again, I looked at her, smiling just a little. "It's nothing."
Before she could really respond, the vampires headed closer towards us.
