i think that i just keep digging myself deeper and deeper into a narrow hole. i need something to help me, like thank you everyone for your thoughts and if you want to keep helping that would be awesome! but i really need something to happen, and if it has to be, maybe neither of them would be the right choice. i feel like i fucked this one up

I don't think that you've fucked anything up, but I don't think anything is saying that you have to choose one of them right now. Or that you have to choose one of them at all. I mean, they both have their good qualities and bad ones, but nothing says you can't just hang out with both of them. Wait it out a little and maybe the decision will be a little more obvious.
