just for the record there was no lane splitting or red light running on our part.. people do what they want to do, esp when you have 100 bikes. im sorry you didnt have a better time and i wish people would complain to me and matt and not you. :(
I know you and Matt had nothing to to do with the lane splitting and light running, it was those in the middle and back of the pack. I don't mind running traffic and blocking lanes as long as its planned in advance. I know of 2 people that were hit from behind because they stopped at a traffic light and some of the pack went through it. Again, its not your fault, and I'm not blaming anyone.
i just want to second what mc said. we made a very large effort to stop even if lights were yellow and also stopped numerous times to regroup...doing so, specifically so people would not feel the need to run red lights and/or split lanes. if there was a problem it could have easily been resolved if someone would have just let us know. oh well, we did our best and i think this may be the last time i attempt to lead a ride of that magnitude anywhere in this city.
Leading rides is not always fun. Leading large rides can be down right dangerous. I appreciate the both of you planning a great ride, and doing your best to control the ride.
