AND SO THE SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS

I'm really dreading the shit that I'll have to pick up. In addition to what I've spent already. But I have to admit that it's hard to feel too bad when school supplies include steel-toed boots.

At least the boots can be worn for non-school purposes.

I was so sad. I guess it's what I get for taking mostly accounting and statistics classes.

Yeah. That's, like, half of my loan.

I am so sorry. I started university classes this semester as well-- I'm taking classes for my major/minor only, so I managed to swing $200 for 7 textbooks, but I have a feeling it's not going to be that easy for very long. :|b How many books did you get for that?

Seven.

One was 10.50, one was 70, three were ~150 and one was 214.

have you heard of chegg.com? I worked there for one day and I haven't actually used it, but it seems as though renting can save you a lot of money.

I tend to keep my books, especially the management and accounting ones (ie the really expensive ones) because they're the ones I'll end up needing to look back and reference in future classes.

Naturally, the book for my science class that I will never need again came to a grand total of $10.50.

Welcome to college.

/is so happy she's now in classes for her major and minor and doesn't have ten billion books to buy

I usually get off with just about 500 in books which...is a lot, but more reasonable, I think.

I typically paid that much the previous four semesters, but this one's been surprisingly cheap. I don't think I'm paying more than 200 or 300 total. o.O
