it's a thing that will send you a notif/leave a screened comment in your post whenever somebody else links to something you've said.

For instance I got one this morning in an in-journal post of David's that said "teasing has linked to this entry in their post 'autumn thread tracking'"

It's an annoying bot. If you don't want them, go here, down to "Pingbacks" and choose "Disable". I find them aggravating and disabled 'em as soon as I could. >P

Meh, I just find it as dumb as those emails that claim that someone's Googling you. That and 99.9% of mine were tcg_exchange-related and crap I already knew about since they all involved trades. :|

Oh, I guess if you have a high rate of stuff like that it might be more spammy. But I write fic and I always like knowing if someone's linked me around.
