[shirley tilts her head, watching him and perhaps considering, but then, she is bending down again and sliding her feet out of her boots. they are terribly flat compared to her normal boots, and she would like to be in those, instead.

lupin's request is returned with silence.]

[The silence hang a few moments longer.

At last Lupin breathes, raises his head, and looks at her.

[to contrast, shirley stands from her chair. and there is even an amount she wiggles her toes against the ground, to enjoy the moment briefly. it's different from the water she has made a habit of resting her feet in. but then, she's walking and grabbing clothes. (another habit! sending children to do what she doesn't feel like doing, including leaving her belongings here for after the match.)]
