[ so yeah, let's say it again. for good measure. fighting a group of natives was not the best idea. okay. maiming a few and injuring several others was, really, not the best idea. especially when one is well-known, easily recognizable. the gossip in anatole can travel fast enough, as it is. i mean, jeez.
that fact didn't settle completely until annalee rushed into the clinic, clutching at shirley's dress and looking downright gleeful. "i heard you beat up some of those dummies! next time, tell me. ezi taught me how to throw rocks the right way!" (and shirley's lips had pressed into a line. "fire does not extinguish another fire," but such concepts don't always reach children. annalee, certainly, didn't get it - arguing and pouting because ezio had been the same and wouldn't allow her to throw rocks. that had been about as much as shirley could tolerate before sending her home; it took saying several times, but somehow, she didn't raise her voice. frightened annalee all the same, though.)
she isn't particularly regretful about the whole ordeal, though. (read: at all. not that part of the entire incident, anyway. she still thought of leaving twice, and her shame had lupin to answer to.) it was foolish, but what is done is done. if the injured natives struggle, they can learn, and if the clinic suffers, it will rebound. this isn't the beginning of their ends.
check out lisa's need for all the details ever, christ.
which means she isn't answering to what she thinks is a silly group of misfits. ...even if she did regret it, she wouldn't answer the scorched-run police. ghosts, they don't give a fuck 'bout yo' fake laws and shit. shirley is considering what to do, though; they will come for her, after all. think think think while standing in front of a window and watching people outside. because you know, that's dramatic. and she is just a creep of the highest caliber.
the fuck is narration consistency? ]
