[ when she calls to tonks, she is pulling a blanket up to a sleeping patient's chest. it probably looks strange to someone that doesn't know her daily activity in the clinic - like something too maternal for a woman as controlled as shirley, like she is incapable of it. or maybe just chooses to not do. ]

You do not know charity, then. Your room is a valuable space that others in dire need will require, and if you wish to keep it, the least to be done is to provide your skills to the clinic.
