SHE IS COMATOSE UNTIL THE 21ST (Arthur will be playing Prince Charming in this reenactment of Sleeping Beauty, ftr), but she will linger in the room she was sleeping in for a few days. Also! If you want to mingle with other people at the clinic, you are more than welcome to piggyback on! I guess just note if your thread is open or closed to particular people??

[ it's only been a few days since shirley has become a patient in the district two clinic, but the stand by her bed has collected numerous gifts. small bouquets crowd over the wood, a jumbled rainbow that brightens the room. beneath the flowers, several trinkets have been left: a book and a crystal-like rock and a dramatic half-mask, all from one visitor - the flowers, too. annalee was quick to make her presence near-constant, and every day since shirley's arrival, she has bounced into the clinic in a white cloak that once belonged to shirley, bringing her "get well" wishes.
today, she only left fresh flowers, and when shirley's eyes open, her first view is a shock of orange petals. she inhales-exhales in a slow, steady breath. then, shuts her eyes and opens them again in the same slow beat. the rest of the bedside table barely registers, and shirley turns her face away -
into light, and after so many days, even the setting sun is unbearable. ...yes, that is a pathetic and discontent noise shirley made. not that she covers her eyes or makes another movement. her first conscious thought is to appreciate the physicality of the world and wonder why it isn't as novel as it should be. ]
