Tonks had tried to make it to the party. She had donned a pair of bunny ears for the occasion and had made every attempt to walk there herself. However, memories crept up on her. It was too much, she had to turn away.
After her encounter with Theon, she had retreated to the safety of her 'fort'.
Fort Tonks, she likes to call it. It's hers now, completely. Ivories have been given. Papers have been signed. It's official. There's still more work that needs to be done. In the meantime, it's furnished enough to be comfortable. Tonks feels safe in the round house.
She hasn't left since Thursday night. At present, she's sitting on an overstuffed sofa, wrapped in a blanket and watching a fire burn in her hearth. Tonks has been watching it for a while.
