My brain is narratively fried today, so while I planned to do this IC, hopefully better to do it all, before event ends...
At the eleventh hour, from the elf prison camps, comes a sudden influx of freed Scorched and Anatolean prisoners to join and reinforce those fighting off the Elves within the city. Merlin and Lupin had magic-aidedly snuck in and mystic-sneakily snuck the prisoners out. Had better success in no small part due to the information brought back by those who'd previously escaped, some of whom are now at the clinic.
Now Merl & Loop are being all wizardy, possibly on a rooftop, to provide counterspell-cover for the fighters, against the Elf mages who're trying to hex 'em. Probably not changing much between those fighting physically/directly, but giving some protection from the elf magic.
