Knowing it's unlikely to work is no longer tolerable reason not to try. Having failed in the past is unacceptable reason not to try. Being tired of war is no excusable reason not to try. Bellatrix Lestrange, having committed unspeakable crimes against Scorched and Anatoleans alike, is still at large; currently-still has Freya captive, and now one of her old allies has returned to Anatole.
My specialty in magical signature analysis gives me a better chance than anyone to identify her current location and assess attack strategies. I'll report back as soon as I can. If I fail in this, take that as a report in itself.
Taking her down is possible. The problem I have not yet solved is what to do once we have her. How to assure she will remain contained or… unresurrected.
I still do not wish to rally anyone to this fight. I also know I'm unlikely to succeed alone. I also know I have too much personal involvement. I also do not wish to be a vigilante. And on and on.
But even given all of these: is inexcusable not to try.
