Would you tell me something about your world?

I imagine the world you come from must be much like Earth--but I have two worlds that I consider home, and I can tell you a bit about the other if you wish. The suns burn the sky red and gold, and you can always see at least two of the four moons. The grasses come in many shades of green and blue and red, and the oldest of the trees will speak, if you listen just right.

I'm not sure how much like Earth it is. Most of the people I know from Earth remember a much more... um. Technological society than mine. We didn't really have any of these things.

But our sky was definitely just blue, so I guess that's more like Earth. Or so I hear.

...your world, though. Your second world. It sounds... wonderful. [In the literal sense. Full of wonder.] ...the trees talk?

It is more an exchanging of emotions. My people... well. I consider humans my people as well. But in the culture I was born into, we communicate telepathically. We can speak in emotions. And the trees, they can recognize those emotions, and respond in kind. There are very few trees that can speak in words, and even when they do, it can take several days for them to form even a single word.

[A smile, which likely comes through in his tone.] And I do not think that technology speaks to all that a society is. What one has does not limit how readily one can adapt to new situations.

...you communicate with... em-- do you have control over that? Or... do you just... always...

[SCREAM. The idea of people just reading everything she feels is slightly terrifying. She may be flailing, inwardly at least.]

Mrmph! I can't even decide whether I like machines. But sometimes they're useful. I'm not... sure.

...telepathically, really?
