Last night I went to a most excellent house concert featuring Sooj Tucker and Gaia Consort. Once again, GC rocked the house (quite literally). And the great thing about a Gaia Consort show is the way the crowd really connect with the music and with each other. I know what you mean. Being a singer and sort of a songwriter, every time I see a great concert by an individual singer-songwriter, I say, "Why don't I do that?" (Well, among other things, because I'm not that good, especially on instrumentation). But still, I have scraps of like a dozen songs in my head that need to be completed, and I get a little spurt of, "Why don't I just finish these damn things?" but then the other aspects of my working and daily life get in the way.
