It's probably not a huge surprise to anyone who's been following the discussions in the comm, on Plurk and the poll results, but the time has come for a formal announcement and here it is:

Scorched will be moving to Dreamwidth!

Breaking my rule about not commenting with modstuff in a player journal to say that I am blown away at how generous and amazing you guys have been, and reiterating that as scary and risky as this might be, I'm genuinely encouraged by our playerbase. You guys are what makes this game worth fighting for, so thank you ♥

does this mean we can go ahead and purchase paid accounts now, ya think?

and second

if i've nabbed a username on DW that I could have on LJ, can I just go ahead and make that my new character journal and join the game when it's all set up with it?

if I do the whole < lj user = " scorched " > at DW, does it go directly to the DW scorched? or do i have to do something nifty like < dw user = " scorched " > to make it work ?

HOWEVER you can also just use [user=blahblah] or [cut text="blahblah"]!
