Minievent: Lust
He's been coming to the Door for days now, a man in a top hat and long coat. He could be mistaken for a Native, if not for the fact that the Natives give him a little distance as they walk by. And they lower their voices, and whisper of the madness of Outworlders who cling to their gods here.
"You must repent and turn away from sin. It is a tyrant who would rule us all It knows no boundaries!"
He reads from his large leather book from dawn until dark, but rarely a person stops to listen. It's late in the day when someone finally does. And though his voice has grown hoarse, he struggles to lift it and teach this girl about the dangers of sin and the goodness of virtue.
When he finally stops, he takes a longer look at her. Her dress is vivid red and cut low, and he can smell the scent of exotic flowers that seem to bloom from her hair. She winks at him. Because in her profession, the easiest ivories are made off of men that no one else listens to. And maybe she just likes a challenge.
When night falls, they're both gone. The mist rises and undulates, and the echo of his words can almost be heard within it: Repent! Repent! And turn away from sin!
((OOC Info: And this would be the first of seven mini-events centered around the seven deadly sins. From now until Monday night, characters have the option of being effected by the first of the Seven Deadly Sins - Lust. It can be lust in a traditional sense, or perhaps the lust for power or blood. If they lust for knowledge, they might get kicked out of the library or bookstore. As long as it's something that they desire.
Characters can recognize that something's not quite right with their thinking and fight it off. They'll just pass the weekend in a fever: sweats, trembles, and generally uncomfortable. Or they can just make it easy on themselves and give in!
Contrariwise, you can also choose to be unaffected and just wonder why those people don't just get a room already or why that guy is proclaiming himself King of Anatole.
