Does no one realise that responding to anger with anger, whether misunderstood or justified, just makes things worse?

Maybe pacifism is just my style. I guess it doesn't work for everyone?

err-- in another more related thought, I think what you're talking about in your wonderfully vague post involved me, and to my defense/explanation, I say I got 2 hours of sleep the night previous, and honestly, :D. I stir shit up and don't care.

Er-- I've gotten the vibe I'm not one of his favorite people often, and this won't change that, perhaps it will make it more violent. so to hell with it, the next time I see him, which will be the only time that year, it will be awkward, but he's a cocky jerk and I let him think what he wanted to.

yes.

pacifism is my style as well, despite all the empty threats i tend to make...
eye for an eye only makes the world blind, hate begets hate, evil begets evil, violence in response to violence only results in escalation...cliches cliches, but oh so true.
i think part of it is that people don't realize that they fuck up too, and that strangers are humans as well. if we follow the fucking Golden Rule (another cliche), and treat others how we wish to be treated, or at least don't go out of your way to harm others, the world would be a better place.

Why yes i did just write a paper concerning this, why do you ask? :P

Awareness, acceptance of personal fallibility, respect. we need more of them.
