as a help desk manager, i am fully willing to admit that my staff is more technical than i am. however, i also expect them to deliver that technical knowledge to our customers in a way that is not condescending or any other negative delivery. this is especially important in my environment since my staff are all students and we work for a university. you can bet i would be hearing from the faculty if they felt the student employees provided anything less than excellent customer service.
