I know...I feel the same way about some people here...like if I did the same job they did, I would be fired. I am sticking to my story...old people don't like change.
One of the things smacked me in the face once I joined "corporate America" is that there is a seemingly endless chain of upper tier suits that must be catered to. My boss has to pass things through her boss who must pass things through his boss who must pass things through his boss who must pass them through the president who must then put it up before the board of directors. It's totally ridonk. It sucks because we as employees see what's happening around us and know what's really going on, who's dead weight, and the improvements that could be easily made to make life easier. But all we can hope for is that our piddly suggestion passes all the way up through the telephone game to be heard.
Here we're starting to do some grassroots stuff to make life better. We're doing Office Olympics, High Five Fridays, Businessman's Specials outings to Twins games, all that stuff. And then even though it sucks to be a cog in the wheel it's easier to deal with.
Oi. I'll be excited to be out of this environment and into my artist world.
