Character history-
Most of Adiane's personal history isn't really well known when she first appears in Gurren Lagann, other then that she is one of the Spiral King's Four Divine Generals and had a close friendship with Thymilph a fellow Divine General. Which Guame and Cytomander, the other two Divine Generals, believe it to be a different kind of friendship... the sexy kind. But Adiane claims it was because Thymilph treated her as an equal despite the fact that she is a woman, unlike how the other two treated her.
That is the main reason why Adiane, after hearing the news of Thymilph's death at the hands of the Dai-Gurren Dan, pretty much... Demanded that the Spiral King, Lordgenome, allow her to avenge Thymilph's death by killing all of the Dai-Gurren Dan and reclaiming the stolen Dai-Gunzan. Which is now called Dai-Gurren while it is in the possession of the Dai-Gurren Dan.
Her first attempt did not go all to well, as she surrounded the Dai-Gurren with water while aboard her own underwater battleship Dai-Gunkai and confronted the Dai-Gurren Dan with her Ganmen Sayrune, but retreated when the newest person aboard the Dai-Gurren, Nia Teppelin, confronted the Beastwoman. And stated just who she was and ordered Adiane to leave the humans alone, which was a surprise to all the people aboard the Dai-Gurren since Nia just proclaimed that she is the daughter of the man that they consider the enemy, and now a very good hostage. Of course it did make Adiane retreat, proclaiming that she would be back.
Once Adiane had returned to the capital city Teppelin she informed the Spiral King of Nia and was... Informed of the fact that the Princess was no longer able to order any of Lordgenome's subordinates around and that Nia can be killed without prejudice. Which infurated Adiane and she then demanded a second chance, and was told that if she failed this time she could not return unless she seeked death.
As Adiane was leaving Viral approached her, and they had a small discussion. About how he was wounded during the fight that ended in Thymilph's death and then Viral stated his desire to help Adiane in avenging Thymilph and reclaiming the Dai-Gunzan. That got him hit by the Divine General's scorpion tail, many times, even as he was saying that he wanted to help her. Adiane, cruelly, states that the only reason Thymilph is dead was because Viral was a coward before walking off declaring that she will be the one to avenge Thymilph's death.
It was on the next day when Adiane attacked for the second time, appearing in a giant wave of water alone in her Ganmen Sayrune, to take down Gurren-Lagann, kill the humans and Nia. But instead of say, outright attacking the Dai-Gurren, Adiane requested to see Nia first. They have a conversation, in which Nia asks if Adiane knew she was making people suffer and if the woman ever questioned her order's, and then Nia demanded that Adiane allow her to speak to her father. To which Adiane snapped, yelling that Nia had been abandoned and that she would die with the humans. Things progressed badly after that, as Nia continued to speak about how what Adiane was doing was wrong, and that killing the Dai-Gurren Dan because they killed Thymilph seemed strange, but Adiane did not see it that way. As she now had Nia in Sayrune's grasp and was about to kill the girl when... Simon, followed by the rest of the Dai-Gurren Dan came rushing to Nia's rescue, with Yoko helping with her rifle as well.
Adiane fought off the Dai-Gurren Dan's gunmen quite easily, even though they had knocked her off the Dai-Gurren and saved Nia, and it appeared that she may have won except... Leeron managed to fix the broken Dai-Gurren and got it to start moving again and then promptly kicked Sayrune. And just as the large ganman base is about to crush Adiane with it's foot a ganman comes out of nowhere and stops the Dai-Gurren's foot from crushing her. It is Viral, in Enki, who disobeyed Adiane's 'order' of not helping her for his own reasons. With the statement of her still having her life and thus being able to fight again, Viral and Adiane retreated from the battle. Afterwards, on Dai-Gunki, Adiane berates and beats up Viral saying she cannot return to the capital without her revenge.
It is a while before Adiane tries to attack the Dai-Gurren Dan again, as she ends up facing them for the last time within her own element; the sea. As the Dai-Gurren Dan had reached the sea that blocked the way to the capital city, and Leeron had to take some time to make the large ship sea worthy (In a hilarious way, flippers on the feet and a giant oar?) so they had enjoyed some peaceful time at the beach. Once the ship was sea worthy and they had set off things seemed to be going well... That was until Dai-Gunkai attacked with gunmen torpedos, under the orders of Adiane. Who soon boarded Sayrune to take them on herself, leaving the control of the ship to Viral. The fight was a fierce one, with it appearing that Adiane would win what with having the advantage of being in the water.
That is until Simon used the Gurren-Lagann's drill to drill through the water, much to Adiane's surprise. And although she was on the deck of the Dai-Gurren, and had just taken Nia hostage, Adiane did not win in the end. As Yoko shot Sayrune's shoulder, freeing Nia, shocking Adiane, and allowing the guns on the Dai-Gurren to freely shoot at her. Viral did try to save the Divine General, but Gurren-Lagann drilled into the Dai-Gunki destroying it and preventing Viral from stopping Adiane's explosive demise. Adiane's last words before Sayrune exploded were simply 'Thymilph, I'm sorry'.
It was after this that Yggdrasil grabbed Adiane, and brought the woman into the digital world. Although she's unaware of that.
Character personality-
Adiane is very implusive and hot-headed, often times allowing her temper and anger to take over and land her in bad situations. Sometimes she is able to get out of said situations, like when the Spiral King has asked her if she is demanding he do something, by quickly back tracking and apologizing, or by someone else interfering to save her. Like Viral saving her from being crushed by Dai-Gurren.
Yet oddly enough this doesn't seem to lessen her skills in combat. But it doesn't really make her very personable.
Character abilities-
Adiane is a capable Gunman pilot, which has no real meaning in the digital world, and is probably much more sturdier then a normal human what with being a Beastman. That and she can hit really hard with that scorpion tail of hers, having beat Viral pretty soundly with it.
