That is one of my all time most favorite books! The writing is beautiful prose and the story resonates. I just love Melinda Haynes - she has SUCH a talent!

The only other book I have read written by her was "Chalktown" - I ran and scooped it up before "Mother of Peral" had cooled off! It was haunting and touching as well, but in truth I loved "Mother of Pearl" more.

As far as I know, those are the only books she has published. I will have to look into it. I would dearly love to discover more out there written by her!

I am going to have to comb through my books now - I would love to re-read them both! Thanks for the reminder!

Oh, and let me see if I can locate "Chalktown" instead of you buying it - I will let you know ASAP! :-)
