My cousin's back and I'm both uber excited and worried. I didn't know she was coming back til yesterday when my dad told me 30 mins before I'd see her. She'll be going to RHS with me but we won't be in any of the same classes... hopefully we'll get the same lunch. I hope it all works out for her this time and I wanna do all I can to help her out. Ranting, even anonymously, helps you come to terms more with what you're feeling, which is the first step to overcoming your problems. Journals are for you, not whoever happens to read it. Their feedback and support is just an added bonus. I read random livejournals when I get bored, just to see what everybody else is going through. I think the thing that saddens me the most is seeing people whose parents need to just shut the fuck up. You clearly rank among those. I know it's hard, but try not to let your mom get you down. If you just live for you, it'll all work out in the end. Don't force yourself to be anything else, and realize that a few years is nothing. You'll be free soon if it comes down to having to be.

And in the strangest turn of chance, I just recognized your net handle in your profile. You are not ugly. Also, you have probably the best work ethic I've seen in a someone your age. Don't let your mom tell you not to be different. Be who you are, or the world will lose something for it. There's a whole lot of things you could be doing that would make you a bad kid. I seriously doubt being your own person is one of those things. And look at what you posted at the top of the entry. Things you can do to help your cousin. First thoughts are ones of helping others. Just have some confidence in yourself and don't let the idiots get you down. The smart ones are the only ones whose opinions matter, and I doubt any of them could see you as a burden in any way.
