Hi there! I'm just a random nosey Scottish person :o] You're name came up when I did a search for covenanters, intrigued to see if anyone else had the interest - I checked off a few of mine on your interest list - one question what is exclusive Psalmody? I am from a Free Church of Scotland background where only psalms are sung in worship with no musical accompaniment, is this somehting similar?

Yes, it's the same thing. The church I belong to (Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America) believe that the Bible teaches that the way God is to be worshipped is through the singing of Psalms exclusively without musical accompaniment. And I also love reading and studying about the Scottish covenanters. I've never been over to Scotland, but I've been over to Northern Ireland 9 times to visit my grandparents and my mom's family.

Ah, I thought so. That is just like my church back home, fantastic. I used to go to Psalmody class. They actually have many congregations that have Psalm singing in (Scottish) Gaelic as well which is something else I can tell you (listen to this as an example of what I mean) You really should visit Scotland, and especially the Hebrides - I tell everyone they should visit those islands. Well it was nice to meet you scotcovenanter, have a blessed Sunday. ;o) Colin
