Having seen JKG's post... I checked this a couple weeks ago and SHOULD HAVE BOOKED, what a loser.... Anyway, if anyone booked a con rate room they don't need at the Hilton, I wanted one and apparently missed the bus already. They're all booked solid. Please let me know. Sam-sqaured needs a place!

I don't have an extra room but if you don't already I suggest joining up over here http://community.livejournal.com/dragonconrooms/ and putting your name on the list for needed reservations.

I heard the Marriott sold out 500 rooms in 5 minutes.

What about the Sheraton? I'm gonna try the Marriott again in a few months. I have one at the Hilton, so I'll let you know what happens.

I was going to point you to dragonconrooms, but it looks like earendilgrey did that already. Get your name on the list over there. When people start switching around, I'm guessing things will open up. Last year, if I'm not mistaken, everyone who posted over there found a room.

Have you tried the Sheraton?

Btw, not sure if you're interested, (it's not what you've asked about) but I have discovered I have an extra room for the partial (core) dates at the Marriot, from Friday check in to Monday check out, so Friday, Saturday & Sunday night.

I've seen that the other book end dates are available directly through the Marriott at a rate of 229.00 a night.

Let me know if you want the partial. I know it's not perfect... but.

Y!!!! squeeee!!! So are you only staying until Mon this year? I was trying to decide if I wanted the extra evening, having remembered that time many years ago that we went to dinner and having seen pics of jkg and the Canadians... I so wished I had still been there....

I'll be staying from Wednesday til Tuesday check out. I haven't decided whether it will be Marriott or Hilton. Hilton has all my details as I want them, but giving up the Marriott is hard... In any case, I'm leaning Hilton.

I just saw sistersola's comment below. Sounds like you can have a Hilton reservation if you want it!
Let me know what you decide.

If you take what I have, (it's a King, too, btw) you're going to need to get the bookend dates figured out directly through Marriott.

I saw your rooms post in one of the communities and thought, "I recognize that headdress!" And I've seen J-9 refer to your LJ handle before and never realized that was you! Anyway, I just wanted to say that it was lovely meeting you (and the rest of the Dessert Girls) this year! I couldn't go to the dinner Thursday night since I was already committed to another group dinner, and Saturday night I was a bit of a nervous wreck and tend to be very shy to boot, so I probably came off as a snobby bitch, or so I've been told :o( Anyway, I thought Tiramisu was absolutely gorgeous and then I saw your Tonks pics too and I am totally in awe and envy of your costuming mojo. Tonks is so one of my favorite characters EVAR and I *sort of* have a books!Tonks costume but I cannot seem to get the wigs to work to save my life and so I have only worn it a total of two times, and then I gained a lot of weight and the jeans don't fit anymore, blah blah blah ( ... )
