Oh my dear, as usual your wonderful prose fill my mind and I kind of float as I read and it's a wonderful experience:-)) Paul Rivers, I absolutely love this older version of Reid Oliver (;-)) and his friendship with Reid, not fatherly, not brotherly but a very good friend.
So he didn’t break down, yet he was surprised by the intensity of pain that was washing over him every now and then....Oh, that communication thing between these guys, Reid deciding that he didn't have a chance with Luke so he leaves not letting Luke tell him that he wanted Reid and not Noah....stupid men!!
My heart went out to Paul after Leon's passing. You described his and Reid's pain so realistically. I adore the similarities/friendship between them, too.
What you have to say on peace is also pretty spot-on.
PS: isn't that the "Marco O'Polo" guy from a comment you left on one of my fics? :)
