Thanks. Luckily, it sounds like a surprisingly small number of people were injured. They knew a big storm was coming through, so people had taken safety precautions.

wow. just wow. look at that. just. fuck.

one of the albany anchors said this is the worst damage she's ever covered in all her years.

sleep didn't come easy last night-- i drank a whole lot of wine and stayed online until about 1am, then got up and started over at 5:30am (but this time with gatorade).

did you get these shots from the atlanta news? i'm looking to compile some to send to my brother.

I found them on yahoo. There weren't many of Americus; mainly Enterprise.

That's what I did too, I've been doing a search in their news section for "Americus" and these came up.

I'm glad to hear everyone is okay, albeit shaken, I bet. A F3/F4 ripped through Iowa City just before Easter weekend last year and that scared the shit out of all of us -- these pictures look WAY too familiar.

Yeah, I'm used to the occasional, isolated tornado from Minnesota, but not destruction on this scale... Also, high winds plus huge, brittle pecan trees equals not good.

So sorry to hear about this. I'm glad that the family and friends didn't get hurt.

Thanks. It is a relief that they're all OK. Plenty of property damage to go around, but they'll pull through. It's frustrating that I can't just drive over and help them move stuff...
