Today is feeling very un-Moscow, and I'm acting a bit not-Scotlike, and it's great. You friends currently in the US with your 80 degree temperatues may laugh at me, but the 5 months I've been here have been almost entirely winter, so my basic definition of what "Moscow" means includes "cold" and "dark ( Read more... )

80? I wish. The high was 55 today; low is 37. I am happy Spring is coming, but I'm still sick, so can't really enjoy the weather.

Enjoy Moscow in the Spring!

Also, you and the wife need to see A Bit of Fry and Laurie. It is bloody brilliant.

Well technically I was sitting in my room here, which was hot since the sun was shining in through the windows. But in general I was indeed feeling pretty Midwestern about the whole experience...

And to be honest, winter wasn't bad here, it's the warmest and shortest it's ever been I think. I'm really looking forward to little green leaves though. It'll take another four weeks probably, but they'll be here soon.

In fact, I think the winter wasn't much different from Portland. Most of it was about 30-35 degrees and raining. Ugh! I was honestly glad when it went down to 15 or 20, because the cold came with clear blue sky.
