He feels stupid, and is going to apologise to Moist for putting him on the spot so.

That's not what he signed up for, after all.-

Urquhart lights only one brazier, then sits on his divan, still very quiet.

Moist is still quiet since while he said he understood, he's not sure how much of that is the truth.

He sits beside Urquahrt and puts his arm around him, because that's easy to do.

"I'm sorry," Urquhart finally says. "Guppy guilted you into staying when you just wanted to get away."

"I just didn't know what to do,"

He did want to run because that's what he always does.
