I was trying to install a straplock system on my guitar. Basically what it does is ensure that the guitar wont drop from the strap and chip the paint etc. Well getting the screw out was hard enough. When i tried to screw it in, i got it 3/4 of the way and it is just completely stripped. i mean totally done for. So now the bracket thing is loose on ( Read more... )

Pliers? Although if it's 3/4 of the way in that might not work. If that fails, weld a big metal rod to the screw head

I do not know how to fix that. Strap lock stuff intimidates me. I don't want to really mess with them..but then again I definitely don't want D'arcy to die. Hmmm...yes.

Yeah I know what you mean. I would recommend it though, despite my little bit of trouble. I'm guessing my problems have to do with the density and heavyness of the wood in my guitar. It's a semi-hollow and weighs as much as alot of solidbodys. Fender also makes heavy guitars in general soooo.
